Saving Money

Hubby and I are trying to put money aside for bub each week and I wanted a cute way of doing this, without having to open a new bank account or buy a piggy bank. My first thought was to find a used and washed jar at home. That search ended in failure, so my next (somewhat tackier) option was to find a used and washed chinese container - mission complete!

Now putting money into an old, used chinese container does not sound appealing, so I wanted to make the container fun and inviting for cash :). Solution - clip art and spray on adhesive. Here's the final product (the sides are also covered in the purple backing colour)....

Yes, this IS what I get up to when left alone in the office on a Friday afternoon (or all day for that matter).

If you've ever read the Spotless books by Shannon Lush & Jennifer Flemming, then you'll know who I'm on about.

Speed Cleaning - gives you time saving tips on how to keep your house clean. It's definitely for people like me who worry about mother-in-law drop ins. It also provides you with types of inexpensive cleaners you should be using for different tasks. You'd be surprised how useful white vinegar and bicarb can be!
