Happy International Women's Day! Today we celebrate the role that women play in society and recognise the wonderful achievements we, as women make to the world.
As a woman I am thankful for:
- The ability (all things willing) to bring a child into this world and be called 'mum', should I wish
- Organisations such as Girl Guides, teaching girls strength, courage and independence, as they become women
- Businesses such as Babes in Business helping with the empowerment of women in the workplace
- The amazing women in my family, friendship circle and workplace for allowing me to 'vent' my frustrations and use (as my niece would describe them) their 'listening ears' when I need them
