Revitalised Store Up and Running

It's taken me a while to get back into the swing of things (due to reflux baby) but I'm happy to state that I am finally on the right path again. He's now five months and things are starting to change for the better. He's a catnapper but a happier baby than he was. I still have to think about my day but he's been letting me do a bit of sewing each morning, which has been nice.

Consequently, Entwined Happiness is now back up and running on Made It and I am starting to slowly stock my store with items again. This means my blog link will work again - hurrah!

Here's a few items you might find in-store:

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads Out There

Today is darling hubby's first Father's Day. He received chocolate, socks, Nanotech building blocks to make The Leaning Tower of Pisa and the following carton of beer. We also ventured out to our first restaurant outing (anouk cafe for breakfast) and our little boy was so good - no screaming baby, hurrah! Happy Father's Day dads.

Wish I could crochet

Darling husband's grandma is known as one of the best crochet ladies in her town. We were feeling a little spoilt yesterday when these were sent up for bub. How adorable are they?

Saving Money

Hubby and I are trying to put money aside for bub each week and I wanted a cute way of doing this, without having to open a new bank account or buy a piggy bank. My first thought was to find a used and washed jar at home. That search ended in failure, so my next (somewhat tackier) option was to find a used and washed chinese container - mission complete!

Now putting money into an old, used chinese container does not sound appealing, so I wanted to make the container fun and inviting for cash :). Solution - clip art and spray on adhesive. Here's the final product (the sides are also covered in the purple backing colour)....

Yes, this IS what I get up to when left alone in the office on a Friday afternoon (or all day for that matter).

Towel Art

My sister posted some towel creatures on facebook last night (from her honeymoon) that appeared on the end of her bed.

Swans
I want to say elephant but I don't think that's right

I thought this was very random, until I discovered this website. There must be some sort of towel art craze that I'm not aware of or I've been sheltered from until now. You can find some of these cute critters on P&O cruises and at Hilton hotels too.

Cupcakes, Macarons and Bunting

Between work, homelife and helping my sister with her engagement party, it has been one busy week. Here were the highlights:

White Chocolate Macaron from Chouquette

Red Velvet Cupcake from Poppy Cakes

Completion of my 'She Said Yes' bunting for engagement party

You may also notice that I have changed my branding to something that is more representative of myself, my blog and craft store. I have changed the ChallenCharms name to Entwined Happiness, so I can encompass more in my store. I have listed my first item tonight, so have a look here if you want - http://madeit.com.au/entwined_happiness

Updated photos from Feb. Photo a Day challenge to be posted tomorrow, after I spent some time with my nieces making homemade jewellery.
